Ariel has nearly 20 years of professional experience in Street Theatre & Spectacle, and possibly the only Scots & Irish Gaelic-speaking artist working today integrating contemporary Carnival design techniques & styles with Celtic Art & Celtic Language Parade & Procession Development work.
Ariel worked with, alongside or trained with every major Street Spectacle company in both Northern Ireland & the Republic, island of Ireland both North & South, and has created work for some 13 Parade events in Scotland since relocating to Glasgow in late 2013. Ariel also specialises in Creative Consultation for Collaborative Carnival Design, ensuring participant input & ownership of final outcomes.
Ariel was the Artistic Director of three major series of Bilingual Gaelic Parade content developed for Paisley Halloween Parades in 2014, 2015 & 2016, and most recently for three sections of the Glasgow European Championships Carnival Parade in 2018, which were specifically designed to be constructed by community participants.
