Andy Hunter Bursary Awards 2020
NAIDHEACHD – NEWS!
Tha e na thlachd mòr dhà-rìreabh dhom a ràdh gu bheil mi air tabhartas a fhaighinn tro Bhursaraidh Sgeulachaidh Andy Hunter, air a rianachadh le TRACS ri taic bho Fhòram Sgeulachdan na h-Alba am bliadhna!
I’m over the moon to announce I have been awarded a grant via the Andy Hunter Memorial Bursary, administered by TRACS with the support of the Scottish Storytelling Forum, to honour & build on reknowned Storyteller Andy Hunter’s passions for storytelling, cycling, land, history and place by delving deep into the centrality of Gaelic in Scotland via a four-part story cycle, taking audiences on a journey through some of our most prominent Gaelic-influenced Placenames, as well as those influenced by Witches, Witchcraft & Woman Warrior Sgàthach, and closing with the quintessential tale of the cycle of seasons and life, that of the Scottish mythic female Creator Deity, Cailleach Bheurra. This cycle will be for performance at the 2020 Scottish International Storytelling Festival, or later at the Scottish Storytelling Centre and/or other venues.
Mar phàirt de sin, bithidh mi a’ rannsachadh & a’ leasachadh ceithir bhùthan-obrach no dealbhan-chluiche sgeulachaidh fa-leth airson a lìbhreagadh anns an stoidhle eadar-obrachail sàr-spòrsail a bheil tidsearan, pàrantan is clann sgoile timcheall na h-Alba air tlachd cho mòr a fhaighinn asta bho thòisich mi air an obair seo ann an 2013.
As part of this work, I’ll be developing these stories into four interactive, participatory Storytelling adventures in the exuberant, fun style honed over the hundreds of highly-reviewed bilingual Gaelic performances I’ve delivered right across Scotland since 2013.
Tha e na urram mòr ar fad dhomh cuideachd gum bi an sàr-eòlaiche dualchais, sgeulachdan & Gàidhlig, Ruairidh MacIlleathain, a’ cuideachadh ris a’ phròiseict seo mar Neach-Comhairle Rannsachaidh – thèid agaibh èisteachd ris air Pod-Chraoladh Fhòram Sgeulachdan na h-Alba an-seo. https://sgeulisseanchas.libsyn.com/an-t-iasg-ir-le-ruairidh-macilleathain-the-golden-fish-by-roddy-maclean
